June Review

In mid June, I made some lovely florals for the Zoo To Do event at our Toledo Zoo (full disclosure: I am married to the Executive Chef, lucky me!). The best part was that every last stem was harvested locally, some even from the zoo's amazing gardens. The roses smelled amazing and the new to me cool thing was the lovage (pictured up front in the top photo). Thanks to friends, family and Dale for the fresh cuts, the animals appreciate your donation!

Strawberries happened. I tend to favor monochrome when it comes to design. Apparently also when I make jam. I was mashing away when the redness of accessories   came into focus...

Garden cuts and further evidence of my monochromatic tendencies...

And this boy, who has been wondering when he will make the blog cut. Baseball and swimming - more of the same lined up for July!
